Class Description:
Paper is
everywhere. So let's create art with it. We'll be using
several types of paper in this workshop from tissue paper, scrap
booking paper, art papers, and more. Besides creating paper quilts such as wall hangings, we'll also be
making some great 3D items. The class is truly a mixed media
experience, as we'll be using papers, fabrics, paints, inks, and
more. Yes, we'll even be using our sewing machines and stitching
on paper.
Lesson
1: Learn
how to make fabric-backed paper. This paper is great to create
backgrounds with, or cut it up and use it as focal elements. This great textured
surface can be colored with many types of media, and I'll show you a
few. We'll also create a small tulip wall hanging.
Lesson 2: In lesson 2 you will learn how to take
fabric-backed paper further. Learn additional techniques to add
color and surface texture and interest. We'll create a fun and
colorful wall hanging with hanging elements.

Create fabulous backgrounds for many types of paper quilt
projects with scrap booking papers and recycled paper. Projects
in this lesson include three dimensional items.

4:
Let's play with art papers. We'll be adding color,
creating texture, and making a beautiful wall hanging. I
will also show you how I recycle another paper for use in art.
